Neverland

The world turned on the bright lights
Still I felt so lonely tonight
Every sound and every voice
Was distorted, chaotic noise

And I was lost in Neverland
Beautiful outside, cold inside
I made my way through the crowd,
Running for the exit as I cried.

Nobody seemed to care
No one seemed aware
And every face was identical to the next
I was trapped in a haunted carnival fest

And I was lost in Neverland
Beautiful outside, cold inside
I made my way through the crowd,
Running for the exit to survive.

But I tripped, I fell and I lost time
And I saw the gates close with me-e-eee inside.

Episodes from a travelogue

Dumping my life into a backpack,
I’ll put on my sneakers and a t-shirt black.
Running to catch next train at the terminal,
I’ll start my journey around the world.

I’ll listen to songs along the way.
Till the battery runs out and I can no longer play
That’s when I’ll turn and strike a conversation,
With the person who got in at the previous station.

We’ll share stories of all the tense.
And that’s how my journey will commence.
We’ll share a tea and I’ll buy him food,
Spend my last penny for a companionship so good.

Soon it’ll be time to say goodbye.
I’ll tell him, “It was a pleasure, I can’t deny.”
He’ll wave at me and I’ll do the same.
And journey resumes thinking of the stranger without a name.
